About Us
Oxfordshire South and Vale Greens are a friendly group from across the two districts of South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse.
We work together to represent the green agenda and speak up about local issues that affect our area and its residents. We are an entirely voluntary organisation; the more of us that get involved, the more we can do.
We work hard all year around. We want to help make the lives of all people in our area healthier and fairer, and protect and improve our local environment.
Everyone is welcome to help us campaign for a fairer, healthier, more sustainable society.
In South Oxfordshire we have two county councillors (out of three in Oxfordshire’s Green Group), and six district councillors. On both the County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council the Green groups are part of coalition administrations.
In Vale of White Horse we are currently working hard to win more District Council seats to join our Green councillor in Abingdon. We also have several parish and town councillors.
We believe fair is worth fighting for, and a better future is possible.

The pandemic has shown how much we all value our health, the people we love, and our communities. Our vision for a Green Recovery is about putting people and the planet at the heart of decision making - building a future that is Green and equal.
The Green Recovery will address the climate and ecological emergency with bold, decisive action from government, business and communities. With that will come more security and more choice in our day to day lives.
A Society that Works for Everyone
Where Greens are elected we will work hard to reduce the burden of the cost of living crisis; improve the safety of our streets; improve access to green spaces and public transport.
